Hello World
I just got back from ebay live, Chicago last night and I joined wordpress.com and started me a blog account but tonight I get on my laptop and I find another blogging site called “Blogger”. I am thinking to myself maybe this is the one I want to blog at? But I am noticing that when I type it is not showing, there is a hesitation with my typed letters showing on my screen. It is becoming annoying. LOL
I want a blog site that I can be creative with. I love being creative. I am now learning how to do digital artwork, portraits and I belong to a forum that I just LOVE, it is run by Marilyn Sholin and called Digitalpainting.
This is my dream for retirement. See at age 57 you need to start thinking about what you plan to do. I am going to have to make money and would rather be doing something I love to do than standing on my feet all day at a Walmart store. Right now I sell things on eBay and I still have a housefull of items to get rid of.
I usually come back from eBay Live and am totally motivated, this year it was just not the same for me. Tried to get into listing some things today and all I did was play around. Do you think I can’t stay on task perhaps? But then I rationalize and say it is Sunday and Sunday is a day of rest.
Well, enough for today’s entry, over and out!
Hello world!
I am heading home from eBay Live 2008 in Chicago, IL. I just love traveling and getting online with my Blackjack phone tethered to my laptop as my spouse is the driver. Isn’t life GREAT??? It is when you can assume to be the “QUEEN”… Hahaha!
I took in a class/seminar at eBay Live on Blogging and hence learned about this site called wordpress and we shall see if I get hooked. This was my 5th eBay convention. I was a little disenchanted with this convention. I don’t know if it was because it was my 5th and I’m starting to get bored or it truly was not the same. I don’t feel the attendance was as big as years past, I know the booths were less. The give aways were less, the community was not all buzzing as in past years. Networking at round tables did not appear as exciting. But I will say the classes, lectures and the discussion groups were still a plus and I came away still learning something. The gala event on our last day was fabulous with wonderful food and entertainment. Chris Isack and his band played, plus Twistedlister played and they were GREAT!
Now the party is over and I am headed back home to St.Louis, ready to get back to my FAST internet connection. I mean when your hooked on fast you hate SLOW! I’m sure you know exactly what I mean if you have a fast connection.
I hope to keep my blog updated and to network with fellow bloggers.
Debra
